Terms and Conditions
STUDIO RENTAL AGREEMENTBy engaging to rent our Studio (herein after referred to as the “Company”) you, theundersigned (herein referred to as the “Renter”), hereby state that you have read, fully understand andagree to be bound by the following terms and conditions.
- Payment: Renter will provide full payment for all reservations of studio space in US funds. Payment isnot refunded unless notice of cancellation is made at least 48 hours before Renter’s reservation date.(Renter will receive a 50% refund if cancellations occurs prior to 48 hours before the reserved date butafter confirmation). If the Company must cancel Renter’s reservation, Renter will receive a full refund.Company reserves the right to refuse reservations at its sole discretion. Payment is due upon receipt.
- Length of Use: Rental periods are 10 hours. Studio clean up must be completed by the end of therental period. If the studio is not satisfactorily returned to the state it was prior to the rental period, aclean-up fee will be assessed. Overtime will be calculated in increments of 15 minutes beyond thecontracted end-time of the rental period when renter is either still using or cleaning up the studio space.
- Terms of Use: Use of our studio and our equipment is AT RENTER’S OWN RISK. Renter herebywaives rights to seek legal redress for mishaps, accidents, and/or loss while on our premises. Renteragrees to leave the studio and adjacent grounds in the same condition as they were when Renter arrived.Renters are solely responsible for any legal infractions Renter or members of Renter’s party make duringthe conduct of the shoot, be they in our studio or elsewhere. This includes parking tickets, all otherviolations or citations, and legal action resulting from the conduct of the shoot, taken at whatever time.Renter agrees to hold harmless RULE AND LEVEL Studio, it’s agents, representatives, and contractorsacting on its behalf for any loss, accident, or injury to Renter’s self or anyone who accompanies Renterwhile on our premises. Renter agrees to be solely responsible for the conduct and welfare of all personsaccompanying Renter while on our premises. Renters are solely responsible for the safety and well-beingof any models Renter engages. Renter understands that if the Company observes dangerous,pornographic, or negligent practices or activities are being engaged in the Company reserves the right tostop the shoot and require Renter and Renter’s party to leave immediately — HOWEVER, Companyassumes NO RESPONSIBILITY to act in such cases. Renter agrees to hold Company, its agents,representatives, and anyone acting on behalf of Company completely harmless from any action, legal orotherwise, that results from Renter’s conduct. Renters are solely responsible for verifying that all modelsemployed during Renter’s rental period are of legal age for the activities they are to be engaged in.Company has no responsibility to determine or verify the age of participants in the renter’s activities butreserves the right to end those activities if it becomes aware that legal age violations are on-going.
- Insurance: Businesses, Corporations, Production Companies and other legal entities may be required,prior to rental, to present a certificate of general liability insurance naming RULE AND LEVEL STUDIO,as additionally insured on the dates of the rental. If so required, Photographer’s liability insurance shall bedeemed primary and non-contributory insurance in the event of any claim or suit. Liability insurance shallbe Commercial General Liability with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence & annual aggregate.
- Equipment: Company agrees to provide equipment in good working order, but makes no specialguarantees as to said equipment’s functionality or suitability to Renter’s purposes. Company is not liablefor acts out of its control that affect the shoot, such as power outages, weather or emergencies. In suchcases, Company will refund a prorated portion of Renter’s payment.
- Miscellany:This Agreement incorporates the entire understanding and agreement between the Clientand the Company. Any modifications of this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties. Anywaiver of a breach or default hereunder shall not be deemed a waiver of a subsequent breach or defaultof either the same provision or any other provision of this Agreement. The laws of the State of Californiashall govern this Agreement. The parties have read both this entire Agreement, agree to all its terms, andacknowledge receipt of a complete copy of the Agreement signed by both parties. Each person signing asClient below shall be fully responsible for ensuring that full payment is made pursuant to the terms of thisAgreement.
- Rule and Level Wrap Procedure
- Please leave the studio as close to how you found it as possible. Cleaning fees will be incurredif the studio requires additional cleaning and reorganizing of props.
- Wipe down all countertops + tabletops - make sure they’re not left greasy/sticky
- Leftover food can be set aside for donation - we have a shelter close by that we donatefood to. Shoot us a text if you’re wondering whether or not your food can be donated.
- Make sure stove top and oven are OFF - wiped down and clean
- Empty fridge and wipe down out any dirt
- Wipe inside of microwave of any splatter
- Empty dish drying rack and put back all dishes and cutting boards
- Check that dishwasher is empty + clean of debris
- Clean out sink of any debris
- Dirty cloths can go in mop sink
- Dirty linens/aprons that are used as props should be put in a pile separately
- Put back all surfaces
- Put away all props to their appropriate zone (colors with colors) if you’re not comfortable putting anything away - please leave it on the table.
- If floors are excessively dirty please give a quick sweep/vaccuum
- Stack all c-stands together again close to windows
- Make sure v-flats, boards, sandbags and apple boxes are back in their spot in the corner
- Do a dummy check for all your stuff
