About our studio
A truly charming and historic property with a rich history. The home was built in 1860 in a sea captain village adding a unique touch to its character. The period finishings, such as crown moldings, curved stair banisters, and original pumpkin pine floors, contribute to the home's authentic and timeless atmosphere.
The three-acre property with an inground pool and a pool house mimics the main house's style and make for a delightful outdoor space. It's great that the pool house and detached garage also echo the architectural style of the main house, creating a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing environment.
The rustic interior of the detached garage and the additional spaces for animals and chickens add practicality and functionality to the property. The large building/barn that was formerly an antique shop is a versatile space with its high ceilings and concrete floor. It could potentially be repurposed for various uses, given its size and layout—but would make for a great on-site studio photography adding additional resources and convenience for a photoshoot.
The presence of unique trees and perennials, especially during spring, makes the outdoor spaces visually appealing and refreshing. Connecting the outside buildings with sidewalks adds to the overall accessibility and flow of the property.
The two driveways, (one service and the other to accommodate an event) finished in white stone, provide convenience and ample parking space. The fact that the property is around 2.5 hours from New York City and 40 minutes from Philadelphia adds to its appeal, making it a potentially desirable location for those looking for a historic and spacious home outside major cities.
